Document Scanning / Imaging
International Document Services, Inc. has a fully trained staff of imaging specialists, equipped with the latest hardware
and software necessary to support the scanning needs of projects of all sizes. We have implemented a number of
industry tested processing steps to insure quality image capture. These steps improve the overall options and
performance of the document management systems that we build. During the document preparation and scanning process
we:
- Unitize document images logically or physically, depending on client preferences.
-
Prepare binder covers, spines, index tabs, and hanging folder tabs to enable image capture of these sources of
information.
-
Capture important data from the original documents at scan time to be included with the delivery of the images.
- Adjust the settings of our imaging equipment to maximize the quality of each image captured.
-
Capture all documents with a minimum 300 DPI resolution to yield quality images suitable for Optical Character
Recognition processing. Images may be captured at 600 DPI or greater if needed.
-
Perform a post-scanning image process for black border removal, de-speckling, de-skewing, and proper image
orientation in order to yield the best possible image suitable for coding and review.
- Compare each image against the original document to verify a quality image has been captured.
Since we handle all aspects of imaging internally, we have the processes and control measures to efficiently
manage projects of all sizes, while insuring the highest quality possible. We have the planning and project
management tools to ensure your projects go smoothly and yield the kind of results that your project team expects.
